Responsibilities:
Senior Test Engineer-Accessibility Testing

 A day in the life of our Value-Creator!

• Perform Accessibility testing and audit for both Desktop and Mobile apps.
• Experience in various assistive technologies such as Jaws, NVDA, Voiceover and Talkback
• Work collaboratively with developers, designers, and product managers to advocate for and implement accessibility best practices
• Create detailed reports on accessibility issues, including steps to reproduce and recommendations for remediation.

Educational Requirements

Bachelors/Masters of Engineering/Computer Applications/CS/IT or Equivalent preferred.

Key Job Requirements:

• Sound knowledge on WAI-ARIA, WCAG 2.0 Guidelines, Apple AA+ Guidelines, Voice over, JAWS, NVDA, Chromevox, HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, VPAT
• Defines communication and enforces accessibility standards.
• Understands the benefits of the various programming languages and accurately suggests the use of the appropriate technology for the website or application.
• Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures.
• Understands browser/screen reader specific compatibility issues.
• Keeps project manager well informed of the status of development effort and serves as a liaison between testing staff and project manager and/or client across multiple projects.
• Serves as a key participant in team and client meetings for accessibility-related stuff
• Define and improve processes and guidelines for creating accessible web sites and applications.

• Windows laptop + jaws or nvda + color contrast analyzer
• Mac Machines
• iPad or Android tablets.
